Use Bath Gels For A Refreshing And Rejuvenating Showering Experience
From gel-based to creamy formula, shower gels exfoliate and soothe your skin
Want to take a break from the good ol’ rinse-your-body-with-soap routine? A shower gel may just be the magical thing you are looking for, after all.
Soap bars clean dirt and germs pretty rigorously but they can leave your skin dry and flaky. Shower gels, on the other hand, moisturize your skin, hydrating it, as well as keeping it free of oil and dirt.
Here’s how you can choose a shower gel or body wash based on your skin type:
Dry skin
If you have dry skin, you should go for a product that provides optimum hydration and keeps it moist. Go for a cream-based body wash instead of a 100 per cent gel formulation that is usually milder on your skin. Make sure you use it gently with a sponge or a brush.
Sensitive skin
If your skin type borders on sensitive and you are someone who suffers from allergies, it is better to use shower wash or gels which are dermatologically tested.
Try not to use shower creams or gels with synthetic elements or agents like sulphates, silicones or parabens which are harsh on your skin. Instead settle for a product comprising vitamins and antioxidants that can nourish your skin.
Oily skin
If you have oily skin, you can easily avoid shower gels with essential oils. You could opt for lighter shower gels, with exfoliating particles, to remove dead skin cells. Ingredients such as mint, lavender and raspberry can be invigorating for your skin.
