It is often said that health is wealth. And, to ensure that you and your family stay healthy, it is necessary you take precautions to keep infections at bay. One of the simplest steps is washing hands frequently.

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends you “regularly and thoroughly” clean your hands with soap and water or an alcohol-based rub. This kills the viruses that may be on your hands.

You should wash your hands after coughing or sneezing, every time you enter your house, before eating, after using the toilet, playing with your pet, touching any dirty surface, before and after giving medication to the sick. Wash your wrists, palms, back of the hands, between fingers and under your nails for at least 20 seconds. Look for a hand wash that is gentle on your skin.
