Story of hope: One-and-a-half-year old Josina Anna Jeevan may not have survived if not for the timely help from Jinil Mathew, a headload worker. The toddler who had tested positive for COVID-19 was in quarantine when a viper bit her on the night of 21 July in Panathur town of Kasargod district in Kerala. Her parents called out for help from neighbours, but nobody came forward, except Mathew. He killed the snake, called his friend who drives an ambulance, and rushed her to a hospital. The toddler is recovering at a hospital and Mathew is in quarantine. “I will always call him an angel because he saved my daughter,” the toddler’s father told The New Indian Express.
