ONLINE SHOPPING has taken India by storm, but looks like it's raising a stink too. Among the popular gifts ordered online are cow dung cakes, which frequently come with requests for gift-wrapped delivery. New stock often runs out quickly and prices for eight-piece packages vary from Rs.100 to 400. We don't want to know on what basis.

WE OFTEN BEMOAN the lack of manners in today's world, but here's a ray of hope: A gang of robbers in Agra looted a bank, departing with Rs.27 lakh as well as the CCTV cameras-and wished the staff a happy New Year before heading out. We hope they get caught soon and help turn Agra's jails into really friendly spaces.
